The founding attorney and principal of the Firm, Mr. Jenkins’ primary areas of practice include all aspects of real estate law, estates & trusts, and civil litigation. Mr. Jenkins received his undergraduate degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University and his law degree from the University of Maryland. Prior to founding Jenkins Law Firm, LLC, Mr. Jenkins served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Charles County, Maryland and as an associate with Louis P. Jenkins, P.A.. In 2005, Mr. Jenkins formed Jenkins Law Firm LLC to continue in his father’s tradition of providing quality legal representation throughout Southern Maryland. Mr. Jenkins is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
In addition to representation of public clients, Mr. Jenkins serves as Court Auditor for the Circuit Court of Charles County, Maryland and as Chairman of the Charles County Board of Property Review.
Mr. Jenkins serves on the Board of Directors of Shore Bancshares, Inc. which is the holding company of Shore United Bank. Mr. Jenkins joined the Company’s board in July 2023 as a result of the merger between the Company and The Community Financial Corporation, which was the holding company of Community Bank of the Chesapeake. Mr. Jenkins served on the Board of Directors for The Community Financial Corporation since 2000. As a result of the merger of the two entities, Shore Bancshares, Inc. has in excess of $6.0 Billion Dollars in assets and is publicly traded on NASDAQ under the symbol SHBI. Shore United Bank provides banking services throughout Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
From 2007 through 2019, Mr. Jenkins served on the Board of Directors for the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center to include service as Chairman of the Board during FY2013-2015. From 2016 through 2019, Mr. Jenkins also served on the Board of Directors of the University of Maryland Medical System. The University of Maryland Medical System consists of twelve hospitals located throughout the State of Maryland with annual revenue in excess of $3.67 Billion Dollars.
